New Balance x New Era 59Fifty Fitted Hats

New Balance is getting back into the fitted hat game. After giving the headwear market a rest for a few years, the footwear manufacturer returns with a new line of fitted hats, produced by none other than, New Era. Shown here are four color options made to coordinate with a collection of recently released New Balance 574 model’s in the colors of several MLB teams. The teams represented include the New York Yankees (Navy/White), the Los Angeles Dodgers (Grey/Blue), the Boston Red Sox (Navy/Red) and the Cincinnati Red (Black/Red). Each hat features New Balance’s signature “N” logo in raised embroidery across the front, the company’s name in flat embroidery across the back and a “NB” hit offset on the left side of the brim.

Unfortunately for US consumers, the New Balance x New Era 59Fifty fitted hats are only being released through select Japanese retailers, such as CapCollector.

Lacer Headwear – Fitted Hats With Shoelaces

Although headwear is the second half of the company name, Lacer Headwear is far from your ordinary hat brand. Yes, they produce fitted hats, but they do so with an innovative twist. The company brings the world of sneakers and hats together by incorporating shoeslaces into the front of their hats to provide a unique look that’s fit for a sneakerhead, or any ol’ hat collector. The laces can be customized in several styles (36 if you follow Ian’s Shoe Lacing Methods) and they can even be taken out and replaced with an entirely different color. Taking it a step further, the company offers Lacer Emblems to go along with the hats, which are basically the same thing as lace dubres on sneakers.

Lacer Headwear teamed up with the NBA this year to produce officially licensed Lacer Emblems with team logos to accommodate their “Hoops Series”, a collection of fitted hats in the signature colors of popular basketball teams. The “Hoops Series” hats are available in 13 team colors and retail for $36. Each hat comes with a second pair of laces and a matching Lacer Logo Emblem. The official NBA Lacer Emblem with the team logo to match the hat is sold separately for $5.

Lacer Headwear is available at select retailers around the nation as well as through the company’s webstore. Product is selling quick with many of the “Hoops Series” fitteds already sold out, so get on the move and add one to your collection before they’re gone.

Because you demanded it, Rock-N-Jocks restocks their custom New Era “Brooklyn Cyclones” 59Fifty fitted hat. The cap features a black crown with the Brooklyn Cyclones “BC” logo embroidered in Lime Green and Hot Pink. The top of the brim is accented in teal while the bottom is light grey. Runaway x New Era Snapback Hats

A new brand originating out Durham, North Carolina, Runaway Clothing comes together with New Era for their first hat collaboration. Rather than the standard 59Fifty, which seems to be the hat of choice for most brands when they finally get the chance to work alongside New Era, Runaway’s founder, Gabriel Eng-Goetz, stays true to the southern style he promotes through the brand and opts for the old-school snapback instead. To kick the headwear line off, Runaway presents two snapbacks, the “Runaway Kid” and the “Runaway Rabbit”. Its pretty clear which is which. Both hats sell for $25 and you can find them now through the Runaway webstore.

Billabong x Bob Marley x New Era “Kaya” 59Fifty Fitted Hat

To commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Bob Marley’s death, Billabong teamed up with the Bob Marley Foundation on a capsule location honoring the legendary reggae artist. Among the t-shirts, shorts and accessories included in the collection is this New Era 59Fifty fitted hat. Available in Black, Grey and Khaki, the hat, dubbed “Kaya”, the name of an album Bob Marley and the Wailers released in 1978, features the foundation’s signature logo and the name of the apparel company embroidered across the front in stacked formation. Furthermore, the New Era flag along the left temple is accented in green, yellow and red to match the colors of the Rasta flag, which is seen in the Bob Marley logo.
