Stylish Casual Mens Shoes (Beyond Sneakers!)

Stylish Casual Mens Shoes (Beyond Sneakers!)

Sneakers might have worked with everything for Jerry Seinfeld in the
1990's, but today fashion dictates that they should be left for
sporting activities. Shoes have grown up a lot in the new millennium.
If you want to look good today, you need a stylish pair of casual
shoes.

Some of the best stylish casual shoes include:

Loafers

Loafers are slip on shoes that typically still possess a dressy edge,
but aren't as formal as lace up business shoes. Chocolate, or natural
colored suede loafers look great paired with casual bottoms like
jeans. A normal leather loafer in black, or dark brown is perfect when
you want to take a step down from formal business attire, but still
want to look nice. They partner back well with a nice button down
shirt and are ideal for date night, or dinner out. If you are trying
to choose between loafer styles

Flip flops

For casual summer looks every man needs a pair of flip flops. They
partner back with cropped pants and shorts. Look for a style with some
edge rather then one that you would only throw on to take out the
trash. Brazilian brands like Havaiana's are considered trendy, but
offer all the original comfort of a basic rubber style.

Espadrilles

A dressier summer option then flip flops, espadrilles look great with
linen, or lightweight cotton shirts for that resort kind of feel. A
white or neutral colored pair looks great when you are wearing light
colors.

Boat shoes

Boat shoes are quite a traditional look and work well paired with a
polo shirt and casual trousers, or jeans. The choice is no longer
restricted to brown leather; they now come in range of different
finishes like brushed suede and a variety of colors, including color
combinations where two to three colors are used in segments on the
shoe. These can also be paired back with shorts, just make sure the
short reaches at least knee length.

Ankle Boots

Leather or suede ankle boots look great with jeans, cords and other
casual pants. Look for a semi dressy style that can work with a t-
shirt and jeans, through to a nice shirt and slacks. This will offer
you the most versatility for use on a variety of different occasions.
Leave work boots for when you're doing hard yakka, they look too
scruffy worn at other times. In addition many venues like casinos,
bars and restaurants do not permit steel capped boots inside their
premises. It should go without saying, but never wear ankle boots with
shorts.

Not many men relish shoe shopping the way that many women do, but it
is worth investing in a couple of pairs of non sneaker casual shoes.
They will help you look stylish and put together for a wide number of
occasions.
